Mid-wife Delivery Package

(for mothers who do not require an obstetrician)

  • Delivery (delivery room and nursing charges)
  • Ward bed up to two days for mother and baby
  • Medical officer ward review
  • Drugs and dressings
  • Initial immunisation for BCG & Polio

Excludes: vacuum, complicated delivery, breech delivery or instruments used for delivery, drugs used in induction of labour where required, doctors (obs/gyn & paediatrician reviews) and caesarean section

Mid-wife Delivery Package PLUS

Includes all of the above, plus:

1 x Obstetrician ward review
1 x Paediatrician examination

Delivery by our resident obstetrician, plus:

Nairobi women's hospital history
The Nairobi Women's Hospital was started in 2001 by Dr. Sam Thenya. The organization has come a long way and has gone from serving one patient to hundreds daily. In 2005, a strategic planning team began transforming the hospital into a not-for-profit institution.

The Nairobi women's hospital college

The Nairobi Women’s Hospital-College is located along Kikuyu road, Dagoreti South Constituency, in the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi. The college was established in June 2008 and has been approved by the Technical and Vocational Education and Authority of Kenya (TVETA). In October 2011, the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) accredited the college to train nurses under the Kenya registered Community Health Nursing Program. The college is a registered examination center by the Kenya National Examination Centre (KNEC) for national exams for diploma and Certificate in Social Work and Community development programs

Nairobi women's hospital GVRC

This is a non-​profit mak­ing, non-​partisan; char­i­ta­ble trust of the Nairobi Women’s Hos­pi­tal (NWH) which is a pri­vate insti­tu­tion that specializes in obstet­rics and gynae­col­ogy ser­vices and seeks to pro­vide holis­tic care to women and their families.

GVRC’s main pur­pose is to bring back mean­ing to survivor’s lives and their fam­i­lies. They do this through the pro­vi­sion of free med­ical treat­ment and psy­choso­cial sup­port to sur­vivors of gen­der based vio­lence. The med­ical sup­port given is the basic treat­ment for sur­vivors of Gen­der Based Vio­lence (GBV) that includes emo­tional, phys­i­cal, sex­ual and psy­cho­log­i­cal abuse.
